EEESafe Appliance Repair | Local Business Rewards & Circular Economy

This video shows how EEESafe appliance repair can work within a local community, following a defined appliance repair safety standard and using local Certified Repairers. Using a washing machine repair as an example, it shows how a nearby repairer can provide a convenient and potentially lower-cost local service while recording repair and safety evidence against the registered appliance. That history can remain with the appliance and provide useful information if it is later offered for sale through the LocalitEEE Marketplace. The video also introduces the wider community benefits of EEESafe and UEEESafe, covering White Goods appliances and digital equipment, and shows how the model is designed to support local repairers, other local businesses and citizens. Through LocalitEEE Business Rewards, local repair and reuse, appliance registration and greater visibility of repair history, the aim is to encourage behavioural change in how we purchase, own, repair, reuse and eventually pass on our appliances and digital equipment. Supporting local businesses and citizens, retaining more value within communities, improving repair safety and helping address circular economy and environmental challenges are at the heart of the EEESafe and LocalitEEE model.
